Duties and Responsibilities: Physicians examine patients; obtain medical histories; order, perform and interpret diagnostic tests; and prescribe and administer treatment for people suffering from injury or disease.

Salary: $150,000 - $300,000

Education: While the minimum educational requirement to apply for medical school is three years of college, most applicants have at least a bachelor's degree and many have advanced degrees.



I wouldn’t like to become one because my goals are to go into law school and become a lawyer J

Allergists/immunologists generally provide treatment for the following: asthma, allergic rhinitis, sinusitis, eczema, severe reactions to foods, insect stings and medications, immune disorders.

Salary: 171,223

Education: 4 Years of Undergraduate Study

 - Minimum of 3 years Medical School

 - 2 years of Allergy and Immunology Training.



Reflection: No, I wouldn’t like to become an Allergist/Immunologist because I definitely don’t see myself doing that type of work. I believe I can do much higher work that makes a much higher salary.

Duties and responsibilities: Acupuncture professionals are trained to treat the entire individual rather than the specific illness or condition. They take into account a patient's physical, mental and emotional condition in order to determine the proper course of treatment.

Salary: $47,813 per year

Education: Mostly master's degrees or post-baccalaureate certificates from schools accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.


I don’t think I will like to be one because the salary is very little for me. I think with my masters I can get a job with a much higher salary. I’m looking into Medical career but not an acupuncture. I’m also hoping to go into a PH Degree and with that degree I know I will make a much higher salary.

Duties and Responsibilities: the application of digital pressure on the parts of the body in a therapeutic way so it can relieve pain/make anesthesia.

Salary: $35,970

Education: You'll find acupressure classes and training programs available at massage therapy institutes and specialized Chinese medicine or acupressure schools.                                                                            

Reflection: Being an acupressure does not seem to be so difficult.  I think I can definitely become an acupressure if I wanted to. For now, I think I want to become a doctor, but not for this.

 Ophthalmologist
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ophthalmologist are physicians who specialize in the treatment of eyes disorders and diseases. They tret vision problems and write prescriptions for both pharmaceuticals and corrective eyeglass lenses. When necessary, they form eye surgery. Most ophthalmologist are in private practice, however some are employed by hospitals or clinics, and others perform research.
Average salary: $90000-$150000       
Educational Requirements:
Only physicians may study to become ophthalmologists. After completing medical school and an internship, an ophthalmologist must then complete a three to five year residency in an approved ophthalmology program. After completing their residency program they must pass an examination to be certified.

Reflection: I honestly think being an ophthalmologist is not for me. I don’t think its for me, because I want to study into being a psychologist. So my answer would be a no. I never had the thought of me being a ophthalmologist.
